Autumn has arrived

October – WOW – How did that happen?

Time keeps going, whether we are prepared for it or not. Life has been a chaotic mess since Labor Day (the official end of summer here in Minnesota).

school, volleyball, robotics, birthday parties, whooping cough (poor Dayton), camping trips, baby showers, youth group.

Autumn is my favorite season, always has been, always will be. I love the cooler temps (why-oh-why do I still live here!). the colors – the trees have been amazing this year. the smells -bonfires! the food (cinnamon, pumpkin, and soup). lazy Saturday afternoons and football games.

I haven’t made any major changes recently towards “the life I want” but I feel that I am squarely in a season of preparation! Health isn’t improving, but I have started going to the gym. Finances are still messy, but I have been listening to a bunch of podcasts and am starting to make plans. Kids are still difficult but they are growing too. I haven’t had a chance to organize or minimize much but I am making plans (and I finally tackled my spice cupboard last weekend). I am thinking about writing and dreaming, which is one step closer to actually doing it.

Baby steps and trying to enjoy the moment I am in…
