The quote above belongs to John Muir – he has been one of my favorite people the past few years. He puts how I feel into words. After a few years of making “short” trips be enough, During the 3rd week of August we finally made the 14 hour trek to Rocky Mountain National Park.
The trip wasn’t without challenges – rainstorms, leaking tents, 1/2 mile walk to the bathroom, bear boxes, etc. However, it was another great trip. While we all agree that this was our last family tent camping trip, we had an absolutely beautiful campsite with a spectacular view. Traveling with friends was a much better experience than we anticipated, it was a definite bonus.
This summer I have taken very few photos with my phone – Lonny and Dayton’s cameras are better than mine. Here are a few sneak peaks from my phone – I will post more when I get some from the others.
